Promoting property to a "Person or Group" field

Guys,

Sorry for the cross-posting....

I've designed a form in which I populate a field with the name of a person.
This field would be used to specify the "Task Assigned To" for the workflow
which works on this form library. The problem is that I can't promote this
field from my Infopath form to a "Person or Group" field. It says that the
data types are different. If I promote the field in the way it is (to a new
field), this new field is promoted as text. By then it makes impossible to
use that field as the person who should receive the task using the
Sharepoint 2007 workflow.
