Prompt appears when opening through VPN

A user connects to their Outlook through a Cisco VPN. They
are able to access all their network dirves. Recently,
they received a prompt for username, password, and domain
when they tried to open Outlook or it opened but was
disconnected. When she tried to recreate her Outlook
account, she received the prompt for username, password,
domain after trying to Check Name. Entering her
information did not give her access. I was able to get her
access to her Outlook by making her a member of the
Administrators group. I do not want her to have these
permissions, but it is the only way I could allow her
access. There are other users connected the same way, and
they aren't having problems. Please advise.
