Properties sheet appears all the time

I have a database that I have been tweaking for some time, but a new
phenomenon has appeared recently. The switchboard manager form is the default
form which appears when the database opens, but recently it has taken to
opening along with its properties sheet. How can I prevent this happening?

Open the form in design view. On the property sheet of the form, on the
Other tab, change Allow Design Changes from "All Views" to "Design View
Only". Save and close the form. That ought to do it.
