Props to Eleanor on image editing and photo gallery programs

To Eleanor:

Using your site (links below) I confirmed many of my regular 'image editing
for the web' techniques, and learned a few too; especially IMPORTING into FP
and not editing images within it.

The BEST tip about photo galleries was that you pointed me to JAlbum. See
results at:

http://home.comcast.net/~tb0yd/photo_gallery.htm

I DO need some more work on how to edit the Style sheets so the albums look
more like the main site, but it's always fun to have something new to learn.

Thanks,
Tim

This is great if you're a beginner:

And I highly recommend Photoshop Elements v.2 NOT the full version of
Photoshop!!
Reading all those will keep you busy for awhile! Good luck!

SITE IS NEWBIE AT BEST. SLIDESHOW IS A NICE TRY, BUT WHAT
IF SOMEONE WANTS TO ACTUALLY LOOK AT THE PHOTOS FOR MORE
THAN 5 SECONDS? AND, WHY IS EVERY PAGE SET UP IN A
DIFFERENT FORMAT? DO I REALLY WANT TO NAVIGATE DIFFERENTLY
FOR EACH PAGE, CAUSE U FELT LIKE DOING THUMBNAILS ONE DAY,
THEN FRAMES THE NEXT, THEN SLIDESHOWS? STOP TRYING TO BE
CREATIVE, YOU'RE NOT. JUST LIST THE PICTURES RIGHT. (HERE

A GOOD LOOK AT YOURSELF IN THE MIRROR ET. THEN GO FIX THAT

Is something wrong with your CAPS LOCK key??
I've used quite a few different gallery styles on purpose to demonstrate
many different ways to present photos. If you had read any of my tutorial
articles you would have found that out! Please read this article:
http://www.eleanorstravels.com/PhotoGalleryPrograms/index.htm
There is no 5 second limitation on viewing any of the photos.

Can we see examples your work ... or do you just rant about others?

Your spelling and grammar aren't very good and neither is your suggested
link done correctly!
Eleanor
P.S. I won't answer anything else you say so please don't respond unless you
can show us your own photo galleries/site.

Thanks Robo,

I've admired your ballet site for weeks. I appreciate the support.

Tim

Looks cool, great pix.

Have you checked out some of the guys that make skins for JAlbum? One of
them is a diver too and has some great stuff on his site...I think it's Mark
Fyvie's but I cant remember.

Yes, you can make the albums look more like the rest of your site, through
massaging the html and the css. Personally, I'm a noob at CSS but I was able
to make the JAlbum look exactly like it was part of the rest of the web
(some sweating was involved :)

You can see it here (if you're interested):
