I am working with a Word document where I need to protect the majority of the document for tracked changes, but I also need to protect a few sections of the document for form entry fields. Is there a way within Word to protect the majority of the document for tracked changes while also allowing standard input fields to be entered without changes tracked.
Imagine a legal document (lease contract) were the user enters the standard information into form fields (customer name, account number, product codes, etc.), but also makes modifications to the body of the agreement. Any modifications to the body of the agreement need to be protected for tracked changes (these changes need to be approved by legal). However, the user should be able to enter standard information into the input fields without changes tracked.
