How do I protect a document from being copy and pasted, but yet let someone view and print the document

Use Acrobat, Word is basically useless for this type of protection, it was
not designed for that purpose.

So Simon has to disable printing as well!
IIRC, when you disable copying/pasting in Adobe, even the screen capture
does not work.
But still, the very determined could still have a go at cracking the
password, which, given time and a dedicated machine, can't be that hard!

Thanks guys for the help, I think acrobat is the only way to go. My targeted audiences are not the proficient with computers so I don't expect they will manage to copy and paste from acrobat. But the bottom line is, this can't be done in word?

If you want something real easy (but easily circumvented, unless what I
suggest is sufficient for your audience), try this:
Protect you document as a form (Tools > Document Protection...).
People can open it, read it but cannot select anything directly (but keep in
mind everything that was said in this thread) and they can print it.
This will not work if the original document was designed as a form, of
course.
In this way, the uninitiated will think, "Darn, I can't select anything!"
and will not be able to copy/paste.
One easy way to defeat this is to Insert the protected file in a new
file.... the protection is then stripped, even if it was password protected.
