protect & hide 1 column & worksheet can continue edit

dear all
can help me on the above problem?
i want to protect & hide 1 column but other columns/rows still can continue edit. how
pls hel

Select all your cells. Choose Format/Cells/Protection and uncheck the
locked checkbox.

Select the column to protect. Choose Format/Cells/Protection and check
the locked checkbox. Check the hidden checkbox if you don't want users
to be able to see your formulae.

Hide the column.


Choose Tools/Protection/Protect Sheet... add a password if desired.
