Protect Worksheet

Hi,
I have created a number of self-marking assessments for
various subjects. The automated marking cells are in
columns which I have hidden and then password protected
the worksheet.
Participants are unable to unhide these columns to see the
marking and therefore 'fudge' their results but I have
found that if you highlight the rows of the worksheet,
copy them and then paste into a new workbook, even the
hidden cells are pasted across and they are now visible.
Does anyone have a suggestion for overcoming this problem
please.
Many thanks
Darren

Hello Daren
Which version of Excel are you using?
With Excel 2003 it seems there could be an answer with
Tools>protection>protect sheet and untick "select locked cells" (option may
vary according to language, mine is French!)
There could be also some other way round with other versions...
Cordially
