Protected Actuals

Hello
I was wondering if there is a way to delete an enterprise task that a resource created and I as the project manager accepted this task. The resource then allocated time to this task and that was accepted. I now want to delete this task all together as the time was allocated incorrectly. Everytime I go to delete the task, I get that you cannot delete a task that has protected actuals. Please let me know your thoughts
