I'm using Excel 2003 for data entry, and I've been playing with using
worksheet protection to prevent some formula-containing cells from
being edited during data entry. (As discussed in this thread:
http://groups.google.com.au/group/m...sheet+new+line&rnum=20&hl=en#bfefe5458b5f91c3)
It does what I want it to do, but with one annoying exception: When
the worksheet is protected, when I reach the end of a row and press
'Enter' it does not return the cursor to the start of the next line;
instead, it just moves down one cell. (It returns to the start of the
next row when the worksheet isn't protected). Does anyone know why it
does that? Is there a way of getting around it?
