Protecting a document from viewing markup

How do I prevent people from being able to view the
changes in a document? I thought that any random person
can just choose View-Markup to see all the changes we've
made. Can I protect the document or turn this feature off
before sending it to clients, etc.?

You are quite right that any tracked changes in the document can be seen by
the recipient by changing the view. You need to accept all changes in the
copy you send to clients.
