Protecting Slide while Editing Notes

Is it possible to protect slides while still allowing the notes to be edited?
I have multiple instructors using one slide show. I can't risk them editing
the content of the slide, however, I want them to create their own notes.

I just want to give a thumbs up for Steve's Protect add-in. I use it a
*lot,* and it works great for this kind of thing.
