Is it possible to apply password protection to an entire spreadsheet without
having to go to each individual worksheet ?

No. A common workaround is a macro that loops all sheets and lock/unlock:

Sub LockMe()
Dim Wks As Worksheet
For Each Wks In ActiveWorkbook.Worksheets
Wks.Protect Password:="******"
Next
End Sub
