PS 2003 - SQL Server login popup

G

Gunnar Sundfar

Hi, everybody. I have a single server setup with Project Server 2003 /
Project Web Access.
When I try to connect from my Pro 2003 Client I cannot reach the Project
Server at first.
A dialog box called SQL Server Login pops up. It defaults to "localhost" in
the Server field.
This is wrong as my project server is called let's say "ORION".
Everything else is correct:
MSProjectUser with correct password.
I can manually change from "localhost" to "ORION" and connect, but I have to
do this about three times in order to complete.
How can I change the default server setting?

Thanx,
Gunnar Sundfar

Gunnar:

This is the result of using "localhost" during the installation. To change
this, you'll need to locate and edit the registry keys where this
information is stored. See TechNet for more information on registry keys.

Thank you, problem solved.
In C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office Project Server 2003\BIN\1033\ on the
server....
run ConnInfo.EXE.
There you can specify server and database + change user and password to
connections.
