PS 2007 Analysis Services 2005 connectivity problem

Hi,

when trying to build a cube I get an error:
Failed to build OLAP cubes. Error: Analysis Services session failed
with the following error: Failed to connect to the Anylysis Services
Server Servername. Error: ActiveX component can't create object.

Any ideas how to solve this?

After reading that link I found one thing that I was missing.

Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Management Objects Collection
(sqlserver2005_xmo.msi)

It can be obtained here:

It solved that problem.

Hi, i have the exact same problem.. here is part of my log:

[12/21/2006 5:09 PM] Cube build session started
[12/21/2006 5:09 PM] Analysis Services session started
[12/21/2006 5:09 PM] Analysis Services session failed with the following
error: Failed to connect to the Analysis Services server <<servername>>.
Error: ActiveX component can't create object


i already tried the http://support.microsoft.com/kb/921116/en-us
and stills gives me the same message.. any help will be very much
appreciated..
