PS 2007 Cubes

PS 2007 Custom fields are not present by default in the base cube.
There is now a configuration option where you can identify addition
cube dimensions based on custom fields associated with lookup tables.
However when you do this do not assume the new dimensions are
available in all of the cubes. In particular MSP_Portfolio_Analyser is
no longer the same as in PS 2003. In fact the only outline codes that
I have spotted are RBS and Team Name. No project outline codes are
added. This messes up nearly all of my standard PAV's from 2003.

Project custom fields are included in the Project Non Timephased cube

Other than RBS and Team no resource custom fields are included in any
Resource related cubes.

One other interesting "feature" - be careful how you use master
projects as these will appear in the cube and any subprojects are
displayed as a level 03, and cannot be analysed independently of the
master.

Do I now need to build custom cubes to provide the same analysis as PS
2003?

Can someone confirm this analysis or tell me where I am going wrong.
(None none of my custom fields are multivalue!)

Thanks

Mike

On further investigation - There are 4 configurable "cubes". I had
only chosen to configure the Project and resource cubes, it is
absolutely critical to configure task and assignment cubes. Thes
cubes include a number of fields whose purpose are not immediately
apparent. Further investigation is required.
