PS 2007 Data Analysis report configuration

hi,
1. We are using project server 2007. The SQL server 2005 is installated
in clustered environment. Now I want to configure the data analysis reports.
But the SQL server instaled without the analysis service. When I try to
install the SQL server anlysis service in the clustered environment, it
trying to create a new instance. Whether it is ok to instal the analysis
service as a separate instance. and configure the data analysis report.

2. Is it possible to install the analysis service in a separate box other
than the project server database created and configure the data analysis
service.

Hi Arun,

I have seen similar situation. Adding analysis services to existing cluster
is difficult. Having AS in a seperate intance is no problem, however
configuring the cube building service needs a little trick as the AS will not
be listening on the default port. So in building option you need to specify
server\instance as servername, but you can only copy paste the value in this
field as it does not accept the manual '\' input.

Having AS on a different server is also no problem (and advised in very
large environments).
