PS 2007 Enterprise Custom Fields Visibility

Hello,

I would like to create a new Enterprise Custom Field (ECF) which would be
unavailable (or invisible) to users within MS Project 2007 UI.

My need is to save a previous project custom property (which is already in a
ECF) in this field for further validation everytime the project is opened and
I need to make sure no user will edit this value in MS Project UI.

Are there any other way to do it, like using an imported Local Custom Field
instead? This field has to be related to Project only.

Thanks.

Does this value belong to the project or user? One option is to use
SaveSetting method to save the value to the registry. This is no good if the
value needs to be read by a different user or from a different PC.

Another option is to save values to a text file on the server or to a custom
table in the reporting db.

Hello,

Thanks for your answers. I finnaly managed to use an hidden property called
"Flag10" in order to save the state of my current project for further
validations. It worked just fine in the context of my need.

Regards,

Jean
