I am looking for some insight into how Project Server determines when to add
a user to a WSS site. Below is an account of what I am experiencing.
I have a project where I add a global resource to the project resource pool.
When I do this the resources automatically show up as users on the WSS site.
I do not need to assign the resource to a task.
Now, I then change the My Projects and My Organization categories to only
include visibility into projects that you are a Team Member of or Project
Member of. Now I add a global resource to the project resource pool and it
does not create an account for that resource on the WSS site. To get an
account created, I have to now add the resource to the task and publish the
project.
Any input on the logic behind this would be helpful.
