PS2003: Filter a View on a Custom Field?

It appears there is no way to filter a View on a custom field - correct?
Enterprise Project Outline Codes appear to be the only fields available for
filtering a View. Anyone have any idea why this is the case? Seems to
pretty severely limit View functionality, no?

Pete --

In Project Server 2003, you can filter on default and custom fields in a
detailed Project view, but you can only filter on enterprise Project outline
code fields in a Project Center view. Hope this helps.

Thanks Dale -

Yes, that's what I've discovered - custom Project-level fields (aside from
EPOCs) aren't available for filtering when defining the view. Oh well.
