[PS2007] Adding Milestone count in MS_Portfolio_Analyzer Cube

Hi,

Is there a method to add milecount count as one of the measurables in the
MS_Portfolio_Analyzer Cube?

My objective is to set up a data analysis page to show the number of
milestones (planned vs actual) completed monthly within the past 12 months.
Is this possible to achieve in PS2007?

One techniqhe is to define a milestone (material) resource (MSCount)
which has no cost rate but a per use cost of 1. This can be baselined
and both forecast and baseline data are available in the cube.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your suggestion, I tried it out and it works perfectly except
that it may cause some confusion (baseline cost vs actual cost instead of
baseline milestone count vs actual milestone count) when viewing the pivot
chart and table.

Thanks and Best Regards

Hi Gary,

I just could not locate the method to relabel the cost and baseline cost in
my view. Can you point out how I could relabel it?

Thanks and Best Regards

Hi Gary,

I have managed to add in 2 fields "Baseline Milestone Count" and "Milestone
Count" by adding them in as calculated measures for the cube. So now i have
no problem with the label.

But just found out a small problem after some testing using material
resource with the milestone. I create a milestone task (set duration to 0)
then I assign the material resource, the unit is 0 and when I set unit to 1
the duration will change to 1 day as well. I have to set % complete to 100%
before I could change the unit to 1.

Godrid
