Hi All,

We just noticed that the cube build fails. Can someone please help???

We have PS2007 on SQL2005 SP3. As background:

Everything was fine up to last week. We upgraded SQL 2005 unpatched to SP3.
It looks like this is when the problem started. The error we get from PWA
Cube Build Status Page is:
"Failed to build the OLAP cubes. Error: Analysis Services session failed
with the following error: Failed to connect to the Analysis Services server
Lincoln. Error: Errors in the OLAP storage engine: The linked measure group
with the ID of 'EPM Timesheet', Name of 'EPM Timesheet' cannot be processed
because it contains MG dimension with the ID of 'Task Is Overallocated', Name
of 'Task Is Overallocated' with different granularity attribute than its
source object. Errors in the metadata manager. An error occurred when loading
the EPM Timesheet measure group, from the file, '\\?\C:\Program

loading the MSP_Project_Timesheet cube, from the file, '\\?\C:\Program
Files\Microsoft SQL
Server\MSSQL.3\OLAP\Data\PPLLCcube.0.db\MSP_Project_Timesheet.1.cub.xml'."

The error from the queue is:
"Error summary/areas:

We are experiencing the same issue. We have a three server scenario: one for
project server/wss, one for sql server, one for analysis services. Any ideas?

Hi All,

We are also hving same kind of issue whild building the cube.

Failed to build the OLAP cubes. Error: Analysis Services session failed with
the following error: Failed to process the Analysis Services database
EPMS_Analysis on the EPMS server. Error: Errors in the OLAP storage engine:
The linked measure group with the ID of 'EPM Timesheet', Name of 'EPM
Timesheet' cannot be processed because it contains MG dimension with the ID
of 'Resource Is Active', Name of 'Resource Is Active' with different
granularity attribute than its source object.

Any help would be appriciated.

Thanks,
Muthukkumaran
