[PS2007] Importing file causes project professional to crash

I was trying to import previous version of mpp files to my projectserver 2007
and all is fine until I try to save it, the project professional crashes. Is
there anything that I need to do before attempting to import the mpp files?

No it should work fine Godrid, Can you check if this file crashes on more
then one PC please and let me know if this is the case.
It may be that the mpp file is corrupted.

Instead of importing, also try to do a Save As. See if that makes a
difference since I have run into some issues and differences between doing a
Save As and doing an Import in 2007.

Jonathan,

I have encountered a scenario whereby Save As crashes while import is ok. It
seems to me that the project professional 2007/project server 2007 is still
not stable enough to perform import functionalities. My project plans are
from previous versions of MS Project 2000, 2003, so wondering whether there
is any issues.
