PS2007 Notes field under Task Assignment Details

Hi, I created a simple project from within P2007 & published. I can do a
timesheet, import it to Tasks & update the project. My account has admin
rights. When I click on a task in My Tasks and go to Assignment Details, the
Notes field is apparently locked out, as I cannot enter any notes. Is this a
result of a setting somewhere? Under Attachments, it implies that I should be
able to add a document, but I don't see a way to do it. Any ideas?

Make sure you are typing in the lower half of the notes field. The top half
displays existing notes, and this is not obvious.

Thank you for your input, Ben.
I figured out what the problem was--apparently it is a "feature". If the
"Time entry by Timesheet only. Users will sync to update tasks." setting is
selected under Task Settings and Display, then Notes entry under Assignment
Details is not available. If the time entry by Timesheet only is not
selected, then the Notes field is available. Either way, notes can be added
from the dropdown on the task name in My Tasks.
