So I have archived a plan (setting resources to proposed, etc..)

Now I have an issue where resources can still charge time against the
project via Assign Myself to Existing Tasks in PWA.

Is there a way to filter out archived projects within this function?

You should definitely use the close tasks to updates feature, however this
has one gotcha, as it does not close the Project Summary level. So, users
can still add a task to the project and then charge time against it. If you
do not need to have users creating new tasks and assignments, you can
disable this feature using the security model.

Hey Gary,

I made darn sure to deny everyone the right to define new tasks from PWA
when I rolled this out.

Where I messed up was enabling everyone to Assign themselves to existing
tasks.

So now that I have archived projects these sneaky people are misusing this
feature to apply effort to retired projects.

Can you extend your definition of the Close Tasks to Updates feature. This
is not ringing a bell. Can it be used to disable resources from using the
assign myself to existing task feature in PWA for projects which are archived?

Thx in advance!
