PST backup doesn´t work as expected

Hi all, i have troubles with the backup utility of the outlook 2003. I can´t
backup mails to a .pst file if i select to backup all the mails older than a
month for example (it only creates the folders in the .pst file), but if i
backup mails older than today it works !!!.
This is driving me crazy, so if anyone there have and answer or idea will be
appreciated.

You are talking about AutoArchive here, right? Not the backup add-in.

AutoArchive works on the modified date of the message not on the received
date so you might want to check the modified date of the messages you are
trying to archive.

modified date of a mail.

Open the message and choose File-> Properties.

Things like editing a message and moving the message to another folder
changes the modified date.
