PST file from 2007 to 2003 issue

J

1. I ran Outlook 2003
2. I had a disk crash
3. I took the PST file from backup to another computer that runs Office 2007
4. No problem
5. Original computer is now fixed and continues to run Office 2003
6. I took the (now 2007) PST file back to the 2003 machine.
7. No problem, except for one major one: I cannot receive messages. I get
this error: Task 'Pacbell account - Receiving' reported error (0x8007007E) :
'Unknown Error 0x8007007E'

My account setup has not changed and runs through the normal checks without
errors. I can send messages, just not receive them.

Diane, when you say "profile," do you mean e-mail accounts?

Now I did this:
1. deleted my 2 e-mail accounts.
2. re-entered just 1 (my primary)
The result is still the same - I can send messages (and they do get received
by those I send them to), but I cannot receive messages at all. Same error
code as below.

You create a new Profile outside outlook, Useing the mail applet in the
control panel is one way, you will need to add your data file and mail
accounts. Set it to Prompt for Profile, do not copy Profile

Can be caused by connecting your PST with your mail profile incorrectly.
