I am working in a very big company. thousands of users use outlook 97, 2000,
xp and 2003
some user's pst files reach to 2 gb limit or near. outlook hangs or does not
open.
at this time we use scanpst tool of outlook. this is a dangerous operation
because if you have 2003 pst and if you scan pst with outlook 97 scanpst
tool you will completely lose all of mail. you have to repair 2003 pst with
2003 scanpst. ( just search with " scanpst" key in c: drive you will find
scanpst tool. )
if we cant repair pst with scanpst we use Easy Recovery for repair. thats a
useful program because you can save your all mail with deleted items. easy
recovery takes to much time for scanning 2 gb pst with 2.8Ghz p4, 256 DDR
memory system. ( 30-60 minutes)
If you know a shortest way for repairing PST files please tell me.
