PST file help

OK I installed MS office 2010 on my 2 TB external hard drive Not A
bright idea I know but I was low on disk space on my C drive.Anyway
my PST file is on the same disk and it grew large and corrupted and
I tried the PST repair tool but it said I had errors on the external
disk and I had to scan the disk to fix the errors and that has not
worked well. I have downloaded one of the outlook PST repair programs
and that is slow. Is there a way to just deletever the file and start
over?
