.pst file wont open?

I bought a new laptop today and it has Outlook 2007 on it. My old laptop had
XP. I try to open my old .pst file but it says it is corrupted? It woks fine
in XP. Can anyone guide me as to why this is happening and how I can fix it?

Copied over the .pst files manually and installed office 2007. Ran the scan
and it failed. Any ideas?

The scan stopped and said...

an error has occurred which caused the scan to be stopped.

any ideas?

Copied it over how? Via network, USB drive, CD, other...?
Make sure Outlook is closed on the original machine when you copy it over.
Also verify that you have the correct pst-file.

Well that there is your problem. An iso-file is a CD/DVD image and not a
pst-file.

2007 office was downloaded on my new laptop via msdn and the .pst file was
moved via external HD

Run scanpst.exe against the pst-file on your old computer. What does this
come up with?
