pst files

I have an archived pst file from another computer that I
cannot open as I get an error that access is denied. I
know the file was password protected and I have the
password but I am never given the opportunity to use it.
How do I open the file?

How did you get it to the PC it's on now? If you used a CD, you must copy
it tot he hard drive and then remove the read-only attribute before Outlook
will open it. Then you can use File>Open>Outlook Data File (or Personal
Folders File, depeneding on version).
