No that's not possible. Personal File Folders (pst) must be accessed from
within Outlook. You can export any folder or all folders in Outlook to a CSV
file by using File, Export in Outlook.

Yes, you can do that with Aid4Mail:

Yet again you are peddling a solution that COSTS! If the Op installs any
version of Netscape, Mozilla or Thunderbird (ALL FREE) and imports
Outlook mail, the mailboxes created can ALL be read with a text editor!

Yes. Install any flavour of Netscape, Mozilla or Thunderbird. Import
your pst files and the mail folders that are created can ALL be opened
in a text editor. All these email clients use the Unix MBox mail folder
format, which basically is just a text file.

I'm sorry Gordon, but your solution does not convert messages to "plain
TEXT" as Giulia asks in his post. If you open a mailbox file produced by
Netscape, Mozilla or Thunderbird, you will find many messages with HTML
formatting, with quoted-printable encoding, and many, many lines of
attachments and other contents in unreadable base64 encoding.

Aid4Mail offers an option that will convert all messages to REAL plain text.
HTML messages and quoted-printable text are converted to plain text that
anyone can read, and attachments are removed. Your FREE solution cannot do
that!
