is there any way of opening a .PUB file if you do not have publisher?

I don't know of any Publisher Viewers out there. The best suggestion
that I can make is to save it to PDF format. There are free PDF
converters out there. I use PDFCreator. MS recommends saving it to
TIFF or MDI format

There are no Publisher converters... Have your sender convert it to a PDF. If that
isn't feasible, I will open it for you and convert the document.
