Pub03: Pasting Hebrew In?

I just upgraded from Publisher 2000 to Publisher 2003. Under Publisher 2000, if
I wanted to insert some Hebrew characters into a document, I could type them
using a Hebrew word processor such as Dagesh, paste them (in reverse order) into
MS Word 2000, and then copy and paste them into Publisher. Trying this with
Pub2003 and Word2003 leads to gibberish showing up in the Publisher document.

Has anyone successfully pasted Hebrew characters into Publisher? How does it
