Pub2007 refuses to insert a hyperlink to external site

I can get hyperlinks to work fine to other pages in its own website.

But, when I try to link to another website it repeatedly refuses to do
anything. I have followed the steps, highlighting the word, and click
on Insert Hyperlink, then To Existing File or Web Page, then pasted in
the address, then OK. I have tried to link to this website:
http://www.iceagenow.com/

This is in a text frame with border art if that makes a difference.

Within the text frame select an image, word or phrase with the mouse.
Now select Insert, Hyperlink and type the address, i.e.,

http://www.iceagenow.com

OK

and that should do it.

Borders, frames, backgrounds, etc can kill hyperlinks

Try it in a plain text box and see if that works
