Public folder rules - Reply and Forwarding

In my organisation I have setup a few public mailboxes which receive email
for (e-mail address removed) and (e-mail address removed). The "mailboxes" are working
fine and the users who need to see the emails can do so.
I have been searching for a way to enable an alert when an email arrives in
these folders to no avail.

I then found the Folder Assistant in the public folder properties to set up
rules.
The problem comes in now:
There are options to Delete, Reply or Forward the email. I am able to enable
either Forward or Reply but not both. I have an automated reply setup on each
folder which is vital, but because I can't get an alert I have to forward the
mail as well.
When I do try to enable both rules I get the following error message
"Changes to the rule could not be saved".

Any suggestions to work around this would be greatly appreciated!
