Public folders and Word letters

How can I use a public folder as a data source for merging letters in Word ?

Display the folder, select the contacts you want to send to, then choose
Tools | Mail Merge to launch a mail merge in Word. Don't try it the other way
(starting the merge from Word). There's a bug related to using public folder
data for a merge if you start from Word.
