Publish Error(FP2002)

Josh GLander

I cannot publish my website using extensions, my server says everything is ok
on there side and that it is something on my side that is messed up. I get a
error of:

Unable to open 'http://www.website.com'. Possible causes:
1. The web server may not have the FrontPage Server Ext. installed.
2. The web server may be temp. out of service.
3. If you are connecting through a proxy server, the proxy may be incorrect.
4. An error may have occurred in the web server.

I have disabled my firewall and antivirus and nothing is working. At one
time i did disable IIS user account and internet guest account but have
enabled them and restarted. So i Don't know what else to do? Any takers??

Thanks,
Josh

In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files
Usually in %USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache

Then Verify you can open the site in FP
- File Open Site and enter the URL
or Browse to the online home page in IE and try File Edit w/ FP

If you get the online one open in FP open the local and try to publish again
