Hi,

I have been working on an intranet at work that will
contain all of our document and workpaper templates etc.

I would like to take it home to continue working on. How
can I backup or save the web to a cd-r.

Thanks.

Publish the web to a new folder on your hard disc.
ZIP the folder (using WinZip or Send to Compressed Folder in WinXP)
Burn the .zip file to CDR

If the folder is not zipped before burning, when the CD is restored to the
hard disc every file/folder will be Read Only. The read only attributes
must be removed before the web is usable. Zipping the files eliminates this
step, but adds the compression/extraction process, which, IMO, is much
easier to deal with.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I have tried to publish the web to
the folder on my hard disk but keep getting the error:

"An error occurred accessing your FrontPage web files.

please see the server's system log for more details.

I have published it to a http address on our server at
work with no problems.

Any further advice?

Thanks.
Barbara
