Publish to web issue

I am guessing someone else has posted this but I tried to read through the
archives and couldn't find the exact answer. I publish a newsletter for a
non-profit using Publisher. I originally had Publisher 2000 and never had any
problems when I selected publish to web. It would run a checker and tell me I
had images overlying text boxes but it didn't alter the publication in any
real way.

When I "upgraded" to Publisher 2003 and select publish to web...all of the
images end up in front of the text . If I go to Format Picture and select
inline it breaks the text in really odd ways. Am I missing some setting or
something. I am very frustrated and this is something I have to do several
times a year. If it's just the way things are can someone recommend a better
way to put my newsletter together?

Thanks

Well that definately saves me time:) I thought all thought all the hyperlinks
to the pages were nifty but oh well...pdf it is..

Thanks!

Pub 2000 has a different html coding engine than 2003, and you can't use
word wrap in a Pub 2003 web page. Either redesign your layout, or as
suggested PDF is a good solution.

I had this problem after upgrading to Pub 2003. Trouble with pdf's is that
if people have a Dial up it just would take for ever to download and be
expensive for them if you have lots of pages. After talking with people on
here I re-loaded Pub 2000 and just do the web site with that.

Pub 2000 is the best version to build a Publisher website, IMHO. The html
output is more basic, loads faster, has better pictures, better cross
browser support, and more. You can run Pub 2003 at the same time for your
print documents if you want.

Yes - that's what I do. Life is so much easier doing a web site with 2000.
Long live Publisher 2000! But then Publisher 2003 doesn't crash in the
middle of doing our newsletter!!

Use a program that was designed for creating web sites. Publisher was
designed for desk top publishing. Try FrontPage or the new Expressions. To
expensive? Try the superb, free, open source Nvu. http://www.nvu.com

Thank you for the suggestions - I actually do have FrontPage but just don't
have the time to redo a web site on another program - can you just transfer
it?
