Upgraded to publisher 2003 now pictures originally 45k are published at over 800k. Total published website is useless at over 80mb. Have tried all web options and still get png files (even with option off). Any clues anybody

That is the way 2003 operates. There is no other way (other than not using
2003). Yes the png option is deceptive, you will get pngs regardless.
