Publisher 03 Upgrade to Publisher 07

I need some advice re getting Publisher for a new computer, which runs on the
Vista Home Premium operating system. The old computer ran on Windows and had
Publisher 2003 installed. The files have been transferred to my new computer
but I cannot open them unless I install a new copy of Publisher on the new
computer.

My question is do I have to purchase the full Publisher package (cost around
£160) or will the Publisher Upgrade package (about half the cost) do the
trick ?

Thanks Mary, however what if Publisher came with the computer and I want to
move it to the new computer ? If I want Publisher 03 on the new computer ?

I assume Publisher 2003 is an OEM version and is tied to the old computer. If
that is true you cannot install it on another computer. If you have the disk you
maybe able to use it as an upgrade by inserting it when Publisher 2007 asks for
a qualifying product. I can't guarantee that will work. Did your new computer
come with Works? It is a qualifying product. If it is Works 9 you may need to
install the patch.

version of a 2007 Office suite

Thanks for your reply. I will check and upgrade through Works if possible as
I think that the 03 version is an OEM version.
