MS Windows Vista Home Premium SP1
Intel Core 2 CPU 6300 @ 1.86GHz, 2.0GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS

Printer: Canon MP 980

I get this message: Publisher cannot complete the operation.
I reinstalled the driver, but it still won't print the quarter fold cards.

Thank you for any suggestions

Yes I did remove the driver before redownloading.

I don't get an error #, just the little message that Publisher cannot
complete the operation.

Thank you for your reply and I shall have a look at the new driver. Also at
how to clean Printer Drivers.

I downloaded the new driver, however that did not make any difference to the
problem. However, I can print topfold cards so I suppose that is
satisfactory. Thank you for your help.

There is an interesting side note to this problem of side quarter-fold cards,
it seems that Publisher does not print all its templates. Publisher does
print some side quarter-fold cards, and not others. I tried this with several
templates and my own graphics. So next time I have a problem with this type
of printing, I shall have to try another template.

Have you ever setup your card in the Advanced area of page setup? It seems this
setup prints okay. If there are objects you like on the templates, include them
in the Content Library. They will be available for future cards.

Yes I have used the Advanced area of the page setup. It does not always work
either. I am not sure what the problem is with Publisher. I never had any
issues when I still used Publisher 98, and that is a really old program, I
had to update as I could not send any work to others, who used a much later
version of Publisher.

I have no problem with a side fold card listed in the Greetings card page setup.
Use the template that you had success using, delete all the content, save as a
Publisher template. You can use a template over and over. If there are objects
you want to use over and over save them in the Content Library.

Thanks for that suggestion, that is really good advice. You have been
amazingly patient and helpful.
