Publisher 2007 designed website not displaying correctly

Why would my Publisher designed site not display correctly after updating to
IE8? In Firefox and earlier versions of IE, my website displayed as it was
designed in Publisher 2007. But my navigation bars do not display in IE8??

IE 8 requires that all objects NOT be grouped
Two options
Ungroup the objects as described below
OR
Install SP2 for Publisher 2007
There have been some problems reported with SP2 with opening existing files.

Create a web site with nav bars etc.
Saved web site as "My web site.pub"
With the pub page open
Ctrl a (selects all)
Arrange > Ungroup
This insures that all groups are ungrouped
This must be done on ALL pages individually
Re-Saved using Save As "My web site NBUG.pub"
I take the step to "Save As" so that when I shut down publisher and I get a
prompt to save my changes I do NOT overwrite the master file "My web
site.pub" accidentally.
Publish to the web
FTP to the server
Web site works using IE 8

If a change, update is required or a page is added
Open with "My web site.pub"
Make changes
Follow the above suggestions
BTW NBUG = "Nav Bars Un Grouped"

Thanks for this info! For some time people have been telling me they
can't see parts of my Pub 2007 website and I had no idea why.

I just "upgraded" to IE8 yesterday by the automatic update and was
horrified to see that half the content on some of my pages was
missing, and some pages didn't show at all! Also on other sites, such
as Ebay, whenever the pointer was within inches of a hyperlink an
irritating green box popped up obscuring part of the page, and I
couldn't find an option to disable it, so I did a System Recover to go
back to IE7. If this stupid green box feature can be disabled somehow
I might consider re-installing IE8. Anyone know how?

How long has IE8 been out, or been out in beta testing? There may have
been lots of people who were interested in my site, but the blocks
with the email and phone addresses were not showing with IE8. Why
didn't MS tell us that we had to unlink objects???

IE 8 has been out of Beta for a few weeks now and it will be in many
machines in the near future. My suggestion is that you put in the fix so
you web site may be seen by all. I am using Publisher 2007 SP2 on a Vista
platform with great success. All my sites are viewable in IE 8 with no
adjustments required.
