Publisher 2007 links to bookmarks on different pages

I am using Publisher 2007 and I followed the help instructions to add
bookmarks and links to them but the links don't go to the correct part of the
page where I put the bookmark. It goes to the correct page, but not the
correct part of the page. Any suggestions? Thanks

Please post a link to the page with the hyperlink to the bookmark, plus a
link to the page and specifics as to where the bookmark is supposed to take
you.

Tell us specifically how you installed the bookmarks and the links to them.

This is my first time posting a question to this site, so forgive my
ignorance. How do I post a link to the page? As for other comments, I went
to the area of the page I wanted to bookmark, clicked, the dialog box came up
I named it Custom Homes, said to add. Bookmark showed up, I moved it to the
area on the page that I wanted it. I then went to previous page, Had my text
box that said See Custom Homes on Projects Page, highlighted the text and
said insert hyperlink, chose bookmark, and then clicked on Custom Homes. It
takes me to the correct page, but not to the right area on the page. I have
a services page and then a projects page that is quite long and I don't want
to have too much scrolling to get to the right part of the page for the
projects. I read on a previous post that these wouldn't work within text
boxes, so I made my boxes auto shapes and then did smaller individual text
boxes where I needed. I tried to find out how to post my pages through the
help function but didn't find it. If you can tell me how to do that I will
get them posted as well. Thanks

The work flow you describe seems appropriate. Insert > Bookmark , choose a
name and select the 'name' option vs. location. Drag the bookmark icon to
where you want the top of the browser page to be. Go to the other page >
select the text or image > right click > hyperlink > place in this document
and choose the bookmark name.

I have no idea what you are talking about when you say "I read on a previous
post that these wouldn't work within text boxes, so I made my boxes auto
shapes and then did smaller individual text boxes where I needed".

Try moving the bookmark somewhere else on the page. Put it beside or
slightly above the text box you want.

No we can't see your hardrive files.

But, I suggest you put your web site online asap, because you will find
other problems out now...rather than after you've spent weeks getting it
"perfect" on your machine...preview in browser locally on your machine is
not the same as online with other browsers like FF, IE8, Chrome,
Opera...etc.

Thanks everyone for all your help, we decided to change the way we were
linking the items to each other. So I won't be using the bookmarks for now.
I will get my website online asap so I can find all the other problems I am
sure to have. Will figure out the bookmarks later.
