Publisher 2007 Trial

Using Win XP, fully up to date, I have a problem with the Navigation Bar.
Clicking the bar to select it, I can't bring up the Navigation Bar Properties
from the Format Menu, from the small wizard wand icon below the bar, or by
right clicking on the bar and selecting Navigation Bar Properties. Anything
to do with it being the trial version?.

PID is 81613-310-7073121-62157 if that's of any help.

Thanks.

This is not a common problem so I can only make some guesses...

Did you activate the program?

Did you download and install the Office 2007 SP2? You can look under Help to
see if your copy of Publisher is patched.

To be clear, are you saying that when you click the wand icon or go to
Format > Navigation bar properties that the navigation bar properties dialog
box does not open? Do you get an error message?

What happens if you go to insert > navigation bar > existing? Can you insert
a new navbar and edit it?

If you start a new web publication can you edit that navbar? In other words
is the problem specific to just one file?

Like I said, I haven't run across this problem in this group before.
Hopefully one of these questions will help lead to a solution.

Thanks David.
Apologies here, the file passed to me for tweaking was from an older version
of publisher, 'though I don't know which.
Yes, starting a new document allows the nav. bar to behave properly for
formatting. I've simply cut and replaced them in the document and all's well.
Sorry to have wasted your time.
Thanks.

Thanks for posting back. It is appreciated as this was a new problem for us
and now perhaps we will be able to help someone else.
