I have a 60 page booklet which for some reason each time I enter the section
that contains overflow (pages 35-50) it moves my first 6 pages of the
document around. These pages are not inlcuded in the overflow area. They are
text with a few graphics but are not linked?

Moving the pages how? When you look at print preview is page 1 and 60 next to
each other, 59 & 2, 3 & 58 and so on? Are you deleting pages and re-inserting
somewhere else within the booklet?

Originally I used another document and renamed it. This document had the
first 25 pages..then I added 30 pages with overflow so that I could start
typing text....for some reason the first pages are not locked in any
particular position and each time I work in the overflow section I come back
and page one is now 3 and page 8 is 1...with not seeming logic......there has
to be some code that is moving them but I cannot figure out what it is...

Publisher booklets are always created in groups of four. When you added the 30
pages you had an odd number of pages, Publisher tried to compensate for this.
Every time you added a page the booklet changed. Page 1 (cover) will always be
next to the last page (back cover) if the pages are divisible by 4.
How large is the booklet? Can you send it my way or put it on a web page and I
will take a look.
