I just joined this forum and noticed that no one has replied to you in a year - not hopeful but I am having the same issue with a publisher document. It is 58 pages so far with lots of pictures/text and I need to move pages around quite a bit still, add more pages, edit text more, etc. If I now do a search for words in it, it does it once or twice and then on the next search gives the message of 'not responding' - and never recovers I am thinking that publisher is not robust enough for the job as I have compacted the file more than once. I have Windows 8, Please can someone reply? If not publisher, what software do I need to convert this into???
