Publisher Black and White Printing

I am creating a newsletter with Publisher with the intention of PDF'ing it so
that users can download it and print it off themselves. If users use a black
and white printer, the colors don't contrast enough (e.g. yellow on black).
Is there anyway I can use a light font with a dark background without
resorting to white on black?

You can but there's never any guarantee that the end user will print it to
gray scale.

Hi, Severn,

Try using light colors with less saturation in the color. A highly
saturated yellow may appear fairly grey when printed on black and white.

You may also have different results on different printers. I would suggest
using color sparingly, if you have a large audience base with black and
white printers. Our company has changed all printing defaults to be black
and white, which makes people think about appropriate use of color in
documents and presentations. Color is great, but not necessary to engage
people or communicate a message.
