Publisher cannot perform the operation

Last week, I was working right along on Publisher 2000.
On Monday, when I came into work, it wouldn't let me make
corrections. It kept saying "Publisher cannot perform the
operation". So, assuming that my troubles were with
Publisher, I uninstalled 2000 and installed a newer
version, Publisher 2002. It still gives me the same
message. However, in a whim, I switched users (I'm using
XP) and lo and behold, the thing worked perfectly.
According to all the info I've received on the web, it
was a memory problem, but I've deleted all I can delete
and nothing has worked. Besides, why does it work under
another user? I'm thinking that I have a file under my
name that is preventing me from doing what I need to
to...can someone help please?

Publisher has to be installed for each and every user - hence why it works
perfectly under another user, as it must have been installed for that user.

Install Publisher logged on for yourself and then it will work perfectly.

Just think how much time, trouble and pain you could have saved yourself if
you had waddled over here earlier and asked.
